Why Jessica Stam doesn't walk anymore

“Because runway is the least paying job for a model of her status. Especially during NYFW where most designers just give the models clothing/shoes from the show as pay. In Europe there is a rule that they have to pay models so we might see her do a few shows but even so, there isn’t much money in runway unless you are exclusive for certain brands, i.e. Calvin Klein, Prada, Givenchy, etc.”
“Besides, there’s also less need for her to walk. She books enough editorials and campaigns without the exposure.”
I thought her popularity is sinking :|
